water shortage

It’s been four days since we started enduring the summer heat without so much water available. Four days of sacrifice and four days of seeing things in a whole new light. Oh El Nino. You are giving us so many new and old things for this summer.

Aside from having a difficulty washing the dishes, watering the plants, taking a bath, and even getting water to drink, I realized that the crisis we are currently into are giving us an excuse to save more electricity and water. Why? because we don’t only get to use less water than the usual, we also get to save electricity because we are no longer using the shower heater. At first, it’s sort of irritating to think of having the shortage but eventually, the childhood days are having a flashback wherein I remember taking a bath outside the house using only tabo and timba. Those are the days where I am less whiny and less aware of what more life has to offer.

Now that I’m currently faced with this situation, it gives me a n excuse to see the glass as half full and not half empty, which I think is always a better way of seeing things, always.
