Does comparing yourself to others make you less of a person?

Does comparing yourself to others make you feel better as a person?

The answer, true answer, would be NO. But we do know that it affects us, always, in more ways than one.

“Your sister is prettier than you. She’s smarter than you. She’s more confident than you. She has a love life, and you has none.” and all that stuff.

One day, after hearing all these, you get fed up and feel what others tell you about what they see, is becoming true. But deep inside, you know they are not right, for deep inside, you know yourself, and you shall not compare yourself to whoever for you are a unique individual, nothing and no one can be compared to you, if you’ll just only believe in yourself.

But then again, anything will falter and you’ll feel sad about what others say. So when times like this strikes again, just think of it this way: We are all made in the likeness of God and God loves us all in the same manner. One day, a man will prove that your existence in life will prove all the doubt-casters that they are all wrong for thinking that you are less of a person just because your sister, or whoever they can think of comparing to you, is better than you. Be proud of yourself. Be who you are and don’t mind what other people say because you are you, and you know yourself better than anybody else. Only you can put a beam of light on other people’s minds. Only you. Only you.
