Dear listener,

I appreciate your gift. But in times like this, I want you to know that I both love and hate you. I love you for listening and I hate you for listening. You are so kind to me but I don’t want to have my guards down at this point of my life. I don’t want to destroy my wall for you. Please, not now.

Yours truly,

the one who always appreciated the gift of listening

so sad naman on the part of the listener. he/she let his/her guard down to listen and reach out to you, and yet you can’t do it for him/her. listening requires one to talk, and one to listen… how can you be heard in the first place if you don’t want to speak out?
