Dear Old Self,

Where are you now? The current version is not welcome in the present. Everybody’s looking for you. They don’t want me here. I admit, you’re so much better than me for them to excessively push me away. They don’t want my existence. They always ask about you!

They can’t appreciate a realist than an optimist. They prefer someone who dreams than someone who opts on playing life on the safe sides. They are fond of smiles and all that fun, leaving all the cold hard facts of life. What can I do? They don’t see life as I see it.

It’s only you that they want. You, the one that everybody knew and everybody liked. Not me, whom everybody knows and everybody dislikes.

People just sometimes need to get hold of themselves and deal with the inevitable, that is change. But it seems so hard for them to accept.

Gaaah! Exchange is the change they need. Rush home now.

Yours truly,
New self

I miss my old self at times as well, but then I realize my new self is STILL my old self — just wiser. 🙂
