Day 22 of 94

It’s the small things

Following rules, no matter how small it is, makes me feel good.

One example is the usage of our newly built footbridge. There are tons of signages in the rotonda prohibiting jaywalking but I can still see many people crossing the street despite the deadly warnings.

I feel sad that many people aren’t doing the right thing, but I also feel great because I believe that maybe a single difference made by me will create a bigger impact, someday.

It might be tiring to go up and down the footbridge, but the fulfillment of not going against the law is priceless. And besides, it keeps me safe from vehicular accidents. I just get a little paranoid upon walking in the footbridge especially when there’s someone behind me. I feel like he will snatch my bag or something. So I walk faster than the usual. I don’t care if he thinks that I am paranoid. Better be safe than not.
