Mini-reunion with College friends
It’s been two years since I last saw Dharel and Apol. And as for Lian, it’s been just months. We’re the type of friends who doesn’t talk that much but can go meet somewhere out of pure spur of the moment invites.
So today, we decided to have a food trip at The Burger Project in Maginhawa.
The place was a a bit minimalist on the outside but once we stepped inside, a modern day burger joint surprised us. The interior was fun and new. Definitely a good place to hang out.
But the real reason we went here was the create your own burger concept they offer.
They’ll give you a paper with a list of tick boxes and it’s up to you to decide on which goes to your burger. And you’ll also be able to name it!
Presenting…. THE SHAYME-GER!
Made of 100% beef, oatmeal buns, canadian bacon, mango salsa, tomatoes, and buffalo sauce to kick in some spice. I loved it! Of course, I made it! Hehe
After Burger Project, we went for dessert at Sancho Churreria which is just next door. The main goal was to eat Churros from this Spanish restaurant but when I saw their cakes, I indulged myself with the thought that I’ll just try their Churros next visit.
So I had a slice of their choco dulce cake.
The chocolate cake is very moist and the layered icing is made of yema. Plus the inner icing, is not very sweet. I can’t figure out what it is but it balanced the overall sweetness of the dessert.
I’m enjoying these food trips recently. Bonding while binge-eating, what could get any better? Oh, yes, doing all of these with someone special.
Maybe someday, maybe one day.
