2013 in review

2013 was a good year. No, actually it was great! Starting on the first day of January, I’ve been documenting a few moments in my life by keeping a blog and a happiness jar –these two immensely helped in reviewing how I was that year because I’m sometimes forgetful when it comes to why I should feel grateful.

I had a fair share of roller coaster emotions by contemplating, doubting, holding back, and staying hopeful. I also had the fortunate experience to travel to new places such as Sagada, Coron, Palaui, and even Singapore. For culture points, I was able to watch almost 50 new movies, most of which are Tagalog –something that truly delights my heart. I was also able to try new restaurants, enhance my tastebuds, get to know what cuisine works best for me and discover, yet again, that siomai always wins my heart.

In 2013, I’ve learned that in order to love the right things, we must first learn how to love the wrong things. It has been a well-rounded year for me indeed. And for that, I am really thankful for being blessed.

All these experiences were products for doing the things I want most, and doing the thing I do best. This 2014, I wish the same, and even more.

Cheers to a prolific 2013! I promise to make better mistakes this year. Spontaneity is key. Here’s to more places to visit, more films to watch, more food to try, and more new things to discover. 2014 will be better.
